Pre-installs here! Server will be up within an hour or so.

I never drink during these but I'll join the alcoholics club too, just for today. It's an exceptionally laid-back Halloween.

That's great news! I'm glad to see you're still around too, anon. It's probably out of the realm of what we can do tonight, but I'd been thinking about hosting on another day this week, or over the weekend, for the anons that can't make it today. That'd probably make for a good chance to give it a try.

And cheers anon. I did a quick glance over of the scripts. Using map blips in this manner is incredibly novel and I have to say I'm earnestly impressed by the creativity behind it; you've really come a long way. Would you mind reuploading the IMG script files as well? They'd sadly expired by the time I saw them.

If they actually managed to get a faithful IMG container functionality working it'd be a real miracle. Certain things like the custom maps would no longer have to be relegated to just being situationally enabled, and it'd solve pretty much all the crashes most people experience. Working around the memory leaks has long been a painful thorn since we've basically been teetering on the edge of replaced models that was sustainable without constantly crashing people. I'll hold out hope that the devs actually got it working as it should - it's definitely something to look forward to trying.

The poor anons whom I've subjected to various tests over the years know all too well about the jank. Most of the functions work fine when you use them in fairly textbook circumstances - the straightforward way they expected you to; but just outright won't work the moment you try to do anything with them outside however they expected you to use it such as in more complex functionalities. And then you have to make a convoluted workaround to implement what you originally wanted to, it's definitely an inconvenience sometimes, but we manage to work around it.

Shockingly despite the immense amount of API changes from the last time this was hosted - it does! Seemingly! CEF support being dropped on Win7/8 means there's a pretty good chance it won't work for anons on these systems anymore; we'll have to see.

If you have a previous pre-install you can simply drag and drop the contents of your "mods" folder in the root directory of MTASA 1.5 into the one in 1.6. Anything that's been changed since last time will have to be redownloaded in-game however.

All you need is a copy of GTASA - any copy works even pirated - and then just use a 1.0 SA downgrader if it isn't a 1.0 version already and install MTA.

If you've done the above, all you need to do is download the pre-install above and place the mods folder into your root directory of MTA 1.6. Connection info will be posted just before the server goes up.

I'll give my usual scary speech to new anons; please try to behave yourselves. It's pretty laidback, but no dumb crossboard slang or anything of the sort. Just focus on the game, and have fun messing around doing whatever.

Please, anon. Being 4 hours late is part of the tradition.
