I no longer believe Katawa Shoujo is or ever was in development.

The Demo was just a troll, and every "update" from them was just a further troll.

While we're on the topic of fat Touhous, I propose that Patchouli is the only canonically acceptable Touhou that is fat.

Facts:

- Patchouli has an English name, likes to spend time in a Western-style library, and she wears a distinctly European style dress, which means that she is a genuine gaijin, unlike Marisa* or Sakuya who are both obviously Japanese.

*Marisa being Japanese, or at least having Japanese lineage is supported by the fact that she take baths, which is a very Japanese habit -- not to mention her name being written in kanji.

- Gaijin are more prone to become fat, unlike genuine Japanese Touhous like Kaguya, in spite of being hikkikomori.*

*There is no evidence to support the fact that Eirin might be prescribing her clenbuterol or DNP as fat loss aid.

- Furthermore, banquets are frequently held at the SDM, in which Patchouli most likely participates in. People who are 貧血 require more nutrients than the average healthy person, and food that are high in iron are also high in fats. It can also be assumed that the banquets are European in style, which would feature an abundance of fruits, cheese and bread, all of which are sources of food that would make an inactive gaijin fat.


The reason why Sakuya doesn't get fat is because meidos have high daily energy expenditure. Remirya and Flandre both have naturally high metabolism because they're vampires.

Only in America, not exercising means "fat."

Everywhere else in the world, not exercising means you stay skinny and weak. Only Americans consume a massive caloric excess without exercising.

On a side note, don't expect any sex if you're going to a host club, unless you're swimming in cash. It doesn't matter how attractive you are, there are very few people who can take home a hostess, nevermind a host, on the first night. Just expect your host to be a good company, actively engage in conversation about America, how you enjoy the hospitality in Japan, and you'll have a good time.
