Tenshi.

I imagine most /jp/ visitors don't really intend to quitting, at least not anytime soon.

It wasn't until recently that I found a reason to stop fapping in the first place. Up to that point, I hadn't really found any good reason to stop. Then I discovered how badly it ruins me if I'm in a really happy mood. Earlier today, I felt really happy, motivated and inspired. Having this feeling, I knew fapping would put a dent in it, but I STILL did it, not aware of quite how bad it would be. Now I know again. Suffice to say the short-term negative effects are at least as bad as the momentary pleasure. I intend to "pull it off" and quit. At least I'm becoming more and more aware of the consequences.

Here's hoping that bliss will return soon enough. I fear it won't, because it's never happened in the past, but then again, the cause that led to the feeling was a little chain of realizations, truths or answers to questions about reality. If I were to attempt to explain the feeling I had, then it would be essentially the same as the one Eckart Tolle advocates, perhaps most prominently in his book The Power of Now. It's really a state where even bad things will seem good. I'm a very positive person, but I seldomly experience such feelings myself, and I suspect most people aren't even aware such happiness exists. Anyone can feel it, it's just very uncommon with the whole society reeking of negative thinking (to put it short).

Besides, I've gotten closer to the point where things don't arouse me anymore and I started exploring new fetishes (read: /d/ stuff).


TL;DR intend to stop because fapping has serious negative effects on mentality. Also, Tenshi all the way.
