Duke Anon was taking a moment to enjoy his brandy next to the fireplace. He fondly remembered the days when he rode around fresh faced and full of the vigor of youth and a burning desire for adventure. This evening especially, he remembered his brief but eventful adventure into the then mysterious mamono realm he'd heard so much about.

He was questing on behalf the local lord to find the source of why so many women were turning into succubi, and his adventures lead him to a shady coven of radicals who'd been sending out agents all across the realm. It was there he'd encountered the dastardly and honestly quite welcoming demons, who after everything was over treated him to quite a nice brunch the next day before he left town.

The leader of the demons, being unable to best him in combat did try tempting him., sending him whispers of pleasure but then adventurer Anon liked to believe the fires of adventure burned brighter. That and it was hard to get in the mood with the anti-temptation measures in place (mental math). He fondly remembered the seductive leader of the demons, Dialartara.. Dialartaragil... Tara... or something like that.

Tara was a tall and imposing women with a smile and figure that could bewitch anyone not on guard against her tricks. Anon and Tara were the last ones standing, the rest of the wicked demons lay slain (knocked out) at Anon's feet after an intense fight. Her business casual dress suit and skirt combo were ripped up here and there exposing her sweat slick cobalt blue skin.

Tara was flushed from effort as Anon was, his armor was almost compromised but he wouldn't let it end here! Sword in his hand he struck first before Tara could use her magic to strike Anon down and he shouted, "the contract stipulates that in the event of a claimant taking issue on behalf of the converted or their immediate kin the converter will at once make amends to the immediate family of the kin and have any further conversions be immediately halted!".

Tara recoiled from (mentally) from the bite of his sword (highlighter) as he pointed out the text on the bundle of paper labeled 'convertions, expansion procedures, and guidelines(revised)'. However Tara wasn't done yet, and cast her foul magic 'legalese', "Aha but you failed to understand that a claim must be filed by a party directly contracted by the party converted or member of their immediate kin and you, adventurer, are not contracted by the converted or their kin. Instead you've been contracted by the baron!"

The "magic" rippled through Anon's body bringing you to your knees as Tara smugly stared down the brim of her glasses at Anon over the dark wooden table where the contract lay. Anon wasn't done yet! With the memories of home (the bed he rented at the inn) and family (the supper the nice greenworm lady had on special today) he steadied himself much to Tara's dismay. Anon smiled thinly as he gripped his sword (highlighter) tight and lunged forward! "The latest convertee was the baron's own daughter making him and contractors working the behalf of his estate a valid claimant!".

With a scream of anguish Tara lay slain (mentally) at his feet as well, her thick blue blood (ink) spread from under her body (out of the fallen inkpot). Anon left victorious from that den of trickery and took his due (signed the appropriate paperwork halting the take over until proper legal review by a neutral third party could investigate the matter and assess damages).

It was why Anon chuckled to himself as Tara's daughter worked so frantically in front of him to out-negotiate anon into a pact. Anon attended Tara's wedding years and years ago, and saw what a real wedding contract looked like. The small demon in front of him desperately reworded the loopholes he pointed out and did her level best to negotiate what she thought was an ever increasingly airtight contract. Anon pointed to paragraph two subsection 3.a, "look closely Akara, the subject of the contract is ill defined and if you don't reword it here the-" Akara cut in, her voice full of pep, "then the master-slave relationship could be turned back on me!" She looked shocked for a second before using the end of her pencil to erase and fill in the blanks once again with a wide grin on her face. Anon couldn't resist patting the deep black-blue hair nestled between her horns as he sipped at the last of his drink. It wouldn't be long before he retired after seeing Akara off to her dorm and letting this be the last big memory of the day wasn't bad at all.

Please, nowadays most demons can barely write, themselves. Back in my day the demons would write miles-long contracts in flowing calligraphy and royal ink worth more than the GDP of a small country. These youngins have no work ethic. Shame.
