honestly I just started checking out /jp/ because touhou seemed like an interesting fandom, not as subsumed with normies like a lot of other stuff is.

Do you think it's worth it to get into tohou? what have you been into as opposed to that? I think there's a good deal of satisfaction with getting involved in a hobby that has a high enough bar of entry to keep casual people out. I personally just come to /jp and 4chan in general for two or three comfy threads.

you said you learned japanese, so I take it your still into anime, got any advice for those of us just starting to look into this niche subgroups, based 2010 poster?
