For socially awkward people, the "Other" is seen as a threat- other people, societal pressures, and what have you. Additionally, that's why many of you dislike sports- you see these huge, sweaty people, and recognize them as the "other."

Now, that's where anime/cartoons come into play. You see, anime has very simple design for its characters- it's easy to draw. However, this simplification has another effect- the viewers see whatever they want to see, because they can subconsciously project what they find fulfilling onto these simply drawn characters.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

For you shy people, anime isn't perceived as "other." That's why you like it. It's safe, because it's whatever you want it to be, on your own terms. It is subservient to your whims, unlike the real world, which is unfailingly rigid in it's "Otherness." Joe McDood is Joe McDood. He looks like him, acts like him, IS him. A simple anime character is more mutable, however. They have some features that don't change, like hair color, or whatever personality is portrayed. But since these personalities and distinct features are so vague, it's easy to mentally redefine them to something you find appealing without experiencing dissonance and rejection.

The simplicity of cartoons makes it into a mirror that will show you whatever you desire, without imposing the restriction of expectation on you. You can imagine Ran being a loving, snuggly mother figure. But doing the same thing to, say, Sarah Palin seems ridiculous, don't you think?
Anyway, I hope this has been useful to you. I know it's hard to understand why you feel the way you do sometimes, but knowing yourself is the first step to happiness, and I think this explanation of the concept of the rigid "other" compared to the soft "Reflection" of yourself that anime creates may be very helpful to you.

I'll explain this to you since I lurk /jp/ on occasion and the most of /jp/ is quite bitchy.
/jp/ for the most part HATES image dumps of touhou. That's why /c/ is the new dumping spot for images. The reason is that they have probably seen all the images before or they don't care about the new stuff. So offering them images isn't going to do much.

As for downloading games, I got mine through torrents on places like thepiratebay, etc. But if you want megaupload, I suggest trying google with "touhou megaupload". It really isn't that hard, especially if you get a filestube.com link
