I can make two kind of games : VN and RPG. Three if you add text games.

VN are easy to do, but because they're easy to do, it'll be harder to be noticed. Plus we'll still need arts, through a quick google can give us backgrounds to use, and Kaoru has a lot of usable portraits and doesn't mind people using them.

As far as RPGs go, I'd rather avoid them, because I have very few experience with these. Even making a puzzle/chase game like Ao Oni will be difficult, and making a real RPG is just impossible if there's no experienced Anon to join.

Texts adventures are easy to do, as it is little more than a linear puzzle. Sadly, since they are just linear puzzles, they are less interesting than VN, unless one happens to have a special interests in these kind of games. Or unless you're willing to put a tremendous amount of work into it to make it less linear.
A subcategory to the text games are the interactive fictions (or gamebook). Basically a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure game. Think of a VN, without the cute touhou in the background. Requires less outside assets, but a lot more writing, as you can't rely on pictures to explain how things look like.

Pick your poison, Socrates.
