I would rather have Mokou not appear at all than have her appear but act out of character. She always struck me as the cool, elite type of character. Not the hotheaded quick-tempered girl so many artists like to depict her as.

There's too much fanwank Mokou. She's usually drawn too feminine or too much like a dude, too cute or too BLOOD AND GUTS berserkertype badass.

For once, it'd be nice if people had good taste in a good character and stick to the original concept where she actually looks really cool.
So I'll start with the dump.

The badassery is the wrong style, the pants take the wrong shape, they end up making her look like a sexual object or a clown.

None of them get them right like this image for example. Notice the shape of the pants and the style of shoes. Or the way the strips on her shirt are tied and don't end her up looking like that Ryoko's girl from Tenchi Muyo. It's a very rare combination to those right.

I just wish more artists got her pants right, like this one.
It should look more ZUNish. Would be better if it had that same fabric, too. I have to use photoshop to add it myself to make it look better for most of em.

All it takes is just white-noise, motion-blurred and overlayed atop the original pants. That's it.
