Well, you summed up my headcannon on Yuuka pretty nicely. Except I'd say that you would need to cross a few barriers to win her affection. She seems like the type to not let people get close to her that easily.

I had an edgy/ironic phase in my mid teens, but I grew out of it rather quickly (mainly due to getting into metal). I guess the same might be true for some other people. Then again, I've never truly seen the 2000-2010 internet, I only started in 2014 so I couldn't witness the shift first hand. Also, the only individuals afflicted by irony poisoning that I've encountered were pretend-/pol/schitzos, not ironic weebs. Though I guess that's more due to me only really hanging out on imageboards and being part of a small circle of passionate autists irl.

Imo, the solution to this is to stop engaging with the wider internet and begin to look for actually invested insular fan communities. The only problem with this is that if cringe political activists push things far enough, large corporations and will start policing or shutting down those insular communities for not being "inclusive and diverse" (you might not be interested in politics, but politics is interested in you) and a fractured network of sites won't be able to deal with that. Then again, I guess the latter problem is a separate thing and requires separate methods.

So as for general advice - try and put yourself in a position where you can freely indulge in your hobbies/do what you desire, form a circle of friends with similar passions (online or irl) and lead the world into a better tomorrow by personal example.
