Rooming with Satori would be fairly liberating, I think. Yeah, she could read your mind constantly, but she's been around long enough that she's probably seen it all, and worse, so I doubt she cares all that much. She has to keep the sinners in the Hell of Burning Fires, after all.

Anyway, yeah, it'd be impossible to have true privacy, but you also have someone who knows everything about you, from the best to the worst, and everything in between. You wouldn't have to put up any false fronts, or play the social game of white lying to grease the wheels of a relationship. It'd be stressful at first, but almost relieving after a while.

Anyway, she's also quiet, well-read, and scholarly, and inclined towards kindness, something odd in a youkai. The only real problem I foresee is the ever-growing menagerie of pets.

I rather like Satori. Some lady barges into your house firing bullets everywhere, and you offer her tea and try to sort things out diplomatically before she starts blasting you anyways. She's kind towards animals, and is even an avid reader and writer. She just seems like one of those exceedingly kind cat ladies who can't help but take in strays, and also happens to be a flesh-eating mind-reading youkai.

Of course, it must have been centuries since she's eaten flesh, and she doesn't seem to have any real desire to resume.
