Which is precisely my point. Maybe it did sound good back in the day. Nowadays, however, it reads like shit. But because we agreed that it's good - because it's written by Shakespeare and therefore automatically good - it's considered beautiful, even though if we encountered such a sentence without it having been written by Shakespeare we would call it awful writing.

Picture related, it's art far more beautiful than the art in that image; people once decided it is, therefore it's true. If you disagree you're a philistine.
