You have to be signed in with an IG account to get their largest available images, which are all capped at 1800 pixels tall. Twitter currently caps most images at 2048 pixels tall, but some pro photographers and TBS's official account have their images available at up to 4096 pixels tall.
I used gallery-dl on the command line to download IG pics while signed-in in-browser. You can get the same image by opening the web inspector and finding it in there, but it's much slower and doesn't automatically give the file a descriptive name of your choice. This >>46638889 would work too. Too bad all my accounts are banned now just for clicking the follow buttons they present to you on the fucking page. The only workaround I can think of is creating yet another burner gmail/outlook account and try yet again to make an account with my IP and browser fingerprint here at my home PC, then following literally just 3 accounts a day to not risk another IP/browser ban. Fuck em. I don't know how imginn guy has the patience to manually check all accounts for new posts and stories.
