Ciconia is a gameboard about the extinction of the human race: how much can you remove that which promotes human survival. It's Ryukishi throwing literally everything he can think of to kill humanity. You got World War 4, loss of all nanomachines that keep every system operational, no clean air, the loss of all marine life and oceans which provides 2/3 of all oxygen, worldwide famine, nuclear winter, and eventually everyone having their IQ brought down to double digits. Those aren't good odds.
I'm all optimistic about the human spirit and all that, but is that even possible to win in such conditions?
