>You dismissed his entire summary about the plot and its themes by just implying he only cares because he found Miho moe.
Would he care as much about Miho if Miho was a man in college trying to prove the same?

>it implies that whoever is arguing for the "moe" series only does so because "you just like the cute girls hurr"
How could you like moe for anything but cute girls? Do you watch the female oriented shows based on otome games where it's full of males because they have the kind of plots you like?

>You mean that "hell" that consisted of no more than a handful of shows every season?
Yeah, if you count kids anime no one but japanese kids watch, anime no one remembers today or gives a shit about, and a handful of other popular anime in other genres. Guess which anime were omnipresent and people were talking about the most. It's like saying there's not a current flood of idol shows because there are still lots of other anime. You're just blowing it off.

>The problem here is you haven't defined what moe
No, the problem here is you're attempting to make my argument seem vague through intentional ignorance in your defense of moe.

>What if the author prefers seeing female characters within the context of the setting he created.
Then he did it for the moe.

>Even cuteness is just a weak definition for moe to begin with
No it's not. There is a definite style(set of styles really) you'd associate with moege VNs and there is a definite style you'd associate with moe characters.
Furthermore you described a bunch of character types with 1-note moe personalities.

>"School closing down and being disowned" is not a "minor personal issue."
In anime it is. "My family doesn't like the way I drive tanks on a boat" and "I might have to change schools" is not that big a deal.

>You even had to cite OVAs that lasted no more than 1 or 2 episodes.
and you aren't counting the non-moe ovas as non-moe shows? Be honest. That's a dumb argument.
And that's ignoring you can't even refute that I was right in that there were at least 6 without attacking them for not being of a certain length.

>you throw it under the "moe" label as a way to dismiss it and the characters as soulless and complain about the "trend" of what amounts to basically "things I don't like."
No, that's what I do with yaoishit and yurishit. Moe is fine sometimes, but you don't need more than one show a season. You don't need more than few robot shows a season. You don't ne-

Now that I think about it, go back to that list and find 6 shows that are similar (that aren't magical girl or mecha, with which the market is also saturated)

You could probably go here http://anichart.net/summer and do the same with shows that are not about idols.
