I feel kind of bad derailing this thread a bit, but there's no OC/jp project thread up right now, and the last time I made my own thread for this janny deleted it.

I wasn't aware there were gendered surnames in Russian.

I simply took the most common 20-60 first names and 20-60 surnames off of the internet and put them into separate files like so. They're all external so you're free to add in entirely new nationalities if you want. Like if you wanted Dutch lolis you could add in data/nationalities/caucasian/dutch/names.txt and data/nationalities/caucasian/dutch/surnames.txt and then update data/nationalities/index.txt to include the string dutch on a line in it (this way you can remove nationalities without removing the files, plus I don't want to include a filesystem lib just do to crawl stuff for this)

The genetic probability distributions (probability that a given gene is recessive vs dominant) is however in the code so there's a fixed size of gene pools (right now nordic, middle-european, mediteranian, asian, hispanic, will add more later) but I don't feel like externalizing those really.

Sorry, but I don't really have anything released so far.

I-I don't know how. Plus I'm used to just using LICEcap since it's so easy and usually I don't have to record at 5fps to fit.

Also, the lolis are randomized too (random clothes/colours/even getetics)

The genetics basically every DNA has like 20 genes (will add more later) and right now I've got like 3 for skin colour I think and 5 for hair colour (4 of them being colour pigment, where your total amount of them affects the darkness of your hair and one being a red hue one for redheads) and every gene can be recessive vs dominant. Then for each gene pool (I have Nordic, mid-european, mediternian-europe, hispanic, and asian so far) there's an associated probability for a gene to be dominant vs recessive, so the northern europeans have a lower probability for the hair pigment genes (since the dominant is the darker ones).

Also, for each gene pool I have external .txt files defining some stuff for nationalities/ethnic groups. So for nordic i have Swedish/Norwegian/Finnish. For asian I have Chinese/Japanese. For Hispanic just mexican so far. for mediteranian I have Greek/Italian/Spanish. For mid-European I have English/French/German/Polish/Russian/Ukranian. Some stuff that's defined there (user editable! the user can even add additional ones!) is like a pool for first/last names, so I took the first 20-60 most common or so names for each country/ethnic group and put them in there. So you can rape your very own Yui Takahashi or whatever.
