I didn't go to this con, but it took me a week (exactly, I decided to make it a week before the con) for my first one which was not that good, and maybe a month for the second one. Most of the month was planning and buying, I think the actual sewing took about three days (though I didn't sleep for two of them).

My third, I started in January... Oh wow it's taking a long time. Though I've been laid-back about how often per week I work on it.

Materials, I just buy at a local sewing store and/or Joann's for fabric, and wherever I need to for the other stuff (lumber/home improvement stores for the wood, Tandy leather for the leather).

Nah, my mom's 500 miles away. I did get a sewing machine from my aunt, though.

Yep, they know. At first I just told them I was making a costume when I made the sword and asked for a sewing machine, but then I showed them pictures of the completed Tenshi dress and they said it was pretty neat. Didn't say one way or the other what they thought about the fact that it was a cosplay of a girl, rather than a guy... I'm still sorta wondering about that.

And really, if you're thinking of doing it yourself, you should definitely give it a try. Do something easy to start with, like Reisen (like I did). Then once you learn how this stuff works, you can go to more fancy Touhous.

do iiiiit, it's so much fun

Man, I really want to go to Otakon but it's 10 hours away... Not impossible, but I don't want to do it if I can't ride/give a ride. And I can't count on other people wanting to drive 10 hours too...

I could see shurelia wishing for an older looking body and being disappointed, as it would be exactly the same, still stuck "inbetween"

I love that music that played when you fought Kanade in Plasma bell and not to forget, all the awesome one hit kill attacks she was doing. Had a baww moment going on too when I thought you were going to have to kill her after Meimei told you to tell her about things

Anyway, what's that song called and does it have a translation

My list is exactly the same, but backwards, which means either me or you have the shittiest taste, and I don't think it's me.

Nope.

Shurelia was my favorite, by far.
