Boss HP regeneration and limited resources was a deadly combination in making people suffer (and made it memorable, as well).
Even more for me since i had a major fuck-up in Fall E4.
Still worth it though, since i was doing the job of Unit 731.

Heh, i think i know you. We've already had this exact discussion a month ago.
The only person i can remember with that exorbitant resources spending was the fusoufag.

For most, it should be 40-50k resource for E1-E5 spring event sans E6 and the derivatives.
