I like mori she makes good music, she also has a kind of autistic energy and quirkiness that works well. But there's a difference between an indie vtuber and a hololive vtuber, it's debatable where that line but there is a line, if you want to watch a vtuber that has no restrictions or company standards why not watch an indie vtuber? Surely for instance if one of the hololive talents started spouting partisan political rhetoric on their twitter that would cross the line, right? so there is a line. People don't like the podcast not because of her dealing with the outside community (though that does carry problems, like becoming embroiled in drama external to the company) but also because the anitubers on trash taste to many of us represent everything that's wrong with the "mainsrteam" western anime and otaku community.
