「That's... right.」Reimu Said, placing a hand on her hip.

「Haha, here I am, working my kiester off and this guy beats you with six words!」Marisa laughed.

「Oh hush, losers have to listen to what the winners tell them so how about you surrender all those snack you've brought?」Reimu commanded, taking her seat between Alice and I.

The rest of the day went peacefully after the girls had their little match and before long the sun began setting and Marisa and Alice started on the way home. "Uh, about Reimu." Alice said in a low voice, pulling me aside before leaving. "She's the type of person who does whatever she pleases no matter what anyone else says you know? It's not so bad, just, be careful with a girl's heart okay?" And with that the two magicians where off.

I didn't have much time to think about what Alice had said as I was quickly rushed along through evening chores and before long sleep called for me. But as I began to drift to sleep, I heard the slow pacing of feet walking through the halls, like an animal walking outside your tent. I didn't give it any mind at first, attacks by wild animals in such cases were rare and I doubt any 'Youkai' wanted to set foot on a holy site like this, until I heard the sound of the door gently opening, closing, and the sound of someone's breathing in the room.

「...It's your fault you know.」I heard Reimu gently whisper as she kneeled down behind me.

I thought to get up, and almost did so, until I heard her say,「Shhh, ssh, sh. Hush now.」 she soothed.

This was a pickle. On one hand, I was deathly curious about why she had snuck into my room and, if I woke up, she might clam up and never tell me, but pretending not to notice would embarrass her twice as much if she found out! Agghh, If I could just fall asleep this won't be a problem...

「If you had just done your deliveries and paid me no mind like all the others, I wouldn't feel this way. But no, you had to always look me in the eye, with that happy go lucky expression of yours, even though I couldn't send you home, even when I berate you, rain or shine, there you are, smiling at me, laughing, assuring me.」she softly said as she began to lightly brush my hair.

「I thought you were like some goofy dog at first, an old stray I'd throw a bone out of mercy right? But your so reliable, so patient, so...peaceful. It's not fair you know, how you kept popping up in my idle thoughts, how my eyes kept drifting to you, how I'm not free of you even in my dreams. And then I see you get along with those other woman... 」At this, I heard her tongue click.

「When you look at others, when they touch you, when you smile at them, I hate it. It makes me stop in my tracks like nothing else has and it's like I can't even breath. Why, why can't it just be me you look at? I don't hate them, but sometimes, I have nightmares about you looking at someone else, being with someone else, touching someone else, and, if that happens, I don't know what I'll do.」She sighed, still stroking my head.

「For now, for us, I'll be patient. We can take our time and you can just drift...closer and closer... until I don't have to worry about you looking at others, because I'll know, for certain, that your mine.」I felt Reimu's fingertips slightly brush against my cheek.「Just fall a little faster for me okay? Dream about me a little... I can be patient, but it's really hard, putting off my desires...」

I could only comprehend a little of what she said and what I didn't understand I tried to repeat back and forth in my mind, but slowly, surely, I drifted off to sleep, never to know if she had said anything else.
