I don't get the hate but alright. Why is talking about my girlfriend and how we met in a thread full of people saying "how do I get a Japanese girlfriend" bragging? Eh, 4chan's fickle sometimes.

Thanks, appreciate it. As for your situation, the whole agreement between you two would honestly become like, second priority. If he's in an intensive Japanese program then his Japanese should be good at the end of the 2 years, right? That's really all that matters I think, though it depends on what he values really.

Drugs are hardcore illegal in Japan. Getting caught with weed of ANY amount can get you put in jail for years, but for you, you'd be banned from the country for life. Despite this, I do know a few Japanese people who are into that sorta stuff (mainly acid/LSD, shrooms), but they're all in the West Coast USA.

Not the guy you replied to but I've found about 2 dozen total Japanese friends on that website, but I stay in touch with about 6 on a regular basis. It all depends on the person and you, really. There are a lot of creeps who respond to women on japan-guide, so if you're the kinda person that immediately hits on someone in a crass manner, then you'll get a lot of blocks. It's a good way to learn Japanese and teach English though.
