Besides, you just described Hideyoshi as a normal kind of character with multiple facettes. How does that put him above Ciconia's cast in any way?
Let's take Andry. He first comes off as a laid-back, irresponsible guy who's only in the program for money. He gets along well with extrovert types like Abdou, Jayden or Rethabile, furthering his image as a typical social butterfly.
Later when Rukhshana is being scolded and about to get hit, he steps in and takes the punishment, displaying honor and a seriousness you wouldn't expect from him.
...Wow, he's just like Hideyoshi! Only more likable lol.

Death of the author is a concept that comes naturally to any sane human being, you can't disregard sanity just like that without sounding like a schizo.

There is a track called "End of the World" in the Umineko OST.
Does this mean that the world literally "ended"? Might that be a Ciconia reference?
