didn't have much time to test this thing yet. remember it's for my mom. i was skeptical whether it would be able to display japanese at all, despite pocketbook being one of oldest ereader companies still standing. they don't really have any info about that on their website either as far as i could see.

i will say at least it works. furigana are in right place, which is nice, but i'm not yet convinced this will be the case every time. some functionality also is lost, i don't think any font but the default one works - which has limited options even with latin letters (bold, cursive greyed out).

i don't think it can display 縦書き and i'm unsure about custom dictionary functionality. other than that, high quality feeling device.
