Nah, it's different. I know his snarks, but nothing after Sasshi's 1st has indicated he'd be happy about it, while Sasshi wrote that he reacted pretty coldly to it post-event ("Aki-P, thanks, I came first!" "uh, yeah..."), when asked about regrets in a radio interview he mentioned that Sasshi's first place "didn't make him regret per se, but reconsider" and he analysed that Yuko's smile during her speech was not laughing as a result of amusement, but laughing awkwardly in response to a sudden tragedy.

Of course you can decide to interpret this any way you like, but they don't really sound like his usual snarks to her to me anyway. The reconsideration thing in specific sparked quite a lot of conversation on him regretting pushing or keeping Sasshi. The whole ondo thing was probably just for the laughs though.
