How strong the characters are is very hard to tell. The SSiB fight is no better since that's a danmaku fight. Everything in the mangas are a danmaku fight besides some straight executions, even Oni Kasen vs Reimu.

Touhou is mostly talk over show because of how Gensokyo works. Here's some stuff in contention:
- Junko's husband, Hou'yi, literally destroyed suns (that's also how Junko's son got killed in the first place). It's also straight up part of his mythology. Junko killed him.
- Makai and Shinki's existence. Creation is a much more capable feat than destruction, and the entirety of Makai was created by Shinki. Makai is a big ass place, and you can even make out stars in the distance.
- Reimu destroys the Earth in the HRtP bad ending. Yes, this is real. Look it up.
- Amitabha was mentioned in one of the SSC text, I forgot which. Amitabha is a 6x10^125 yojana tall being, larger than the known universe. Of course, we don't know if he's the same in Touhou, but this is something to note.
- The fact that NO Touhou has ever shown to fight seriously, and even then are capable of causing mass destruction. Master Spark, for example, is a laser made for playfighting, yet is mentioned to be capable of disintegrating a mountain.

Well those are some stuff I remember. Touhou is all about hax anyway, but if you look a bit deeper there's quite a bit of stuff in there that supports stronk 2hu. I disagree with the galaxy busting 2hus and mftl stuff for the most part, but they're clearly way stronger than their usually shown.
