Attention!
Having waifus is an /a/ related habit. It doesn't belong on /jp/. So if you have a waifu and intend to talk about it, kindly leave.

/jp/ is for translators, artists and scholars of Japanese culture only. It is a place to create original content and engage in meaningful discussions. Not a place for man-children to salivate over imaginary cartoon girlfriends.

Now that this is settled, please continue.

PS: Stop jacking off to touhous.

Yokatta is good for people that are new to proxy services in general. Professional looking website and real easy manner of communication, it's all through email.
Only used them once though.

My favorite is Tenso. Also professional looking and is backed by Rakuten, which is pretty much Japanese Amazon.
Used Tenso many times

I prefer Tenso because you make the order yourself and just put in their shipping address. Real quick and simple. Also more useful if the item in question is rare and soon to sell out. Yokatta makes the order themselves, you just tell them what to buy. Yokatta is also more expensive. Both have good customer service.

I'd say use Yokatta if you have no clue what you are doing, Tenso if you know your shit.

ゐ represented [wi] in middle japanese, but sometime in the last thousand years changed to [i]. Up until the cabinet reformed kana usage in 1946, declaring ゐ obsolete, it continued to be used in spelling in much the same way that we still spell "rough" with a "gh" even though we now pronounce it with [f] rather than [x]. Likewise, ゑ used to represent [we] but now represents [e].

The [wi] and [we] sounds have since been reintroduced into modern japanese through loanwords but are written as うぃ and うぇ, respectively. Some older speakers still do not distinguish those from い and え.

So, Tewi is pronounced [tei].

I'm curious as to whether "Cirno" has an etymological basis or if ZUN just stuck random letters together.

• Never shave or cut your hair. You will save hundreds on equipment and trips to the barbershop.
• When ordering food, leave the money and an instruction to leave the pizza outside your door. This way you can avoid social interaction with the delivery guy.
• Wear the same shirt for as long as possible. If it gets dirty, wear it for another week or two; your sweat often seeps through the fabric and cleans it.
• Do not use beer bottles as piss bottles. It can get messy.

Writing tip: “white” is an adjective, not a proper noun. You shouldn't capitalize it.

As much as one should be economic with trusting the Good Doctor, somehow it doesn't seem like Eirin to bring harm to a fellow scholar.

Unless, of course, you take the distinction between scientist and scholar very seriously...
