Maybe partially depending on how much of a say he actually has a say in designing the character, but that's the lowest on the list of issues.
Kiara's concept design alone is like a messy soup with a lot of ideas that would go well with maybe one more idea but all together tastes like shit.
All of it just feels like 30% Phoenix, 55% Fast Food Worker, and 15% Adventurer with barely any overlap.
The adventurer eels like a gimmick
The pheonix feels like it's just meant to be "fill in unique fantasy trait here"
The fast food is actually pretty good but is getting screwed over by the noise created by the adventurer
In my opinion it should have been: 45-50% Phoenix where there are more hints towards her origin throughout the uniform, 50% fast food where the uniform synchronizes better with said origin, and if it's absolutely necessary 5% adventurer where it's a locked away power that's hinted at through various small details and not an ugly ass sword and shield.
