I've looked around online a bit and there's a few things that actually suggest baking soda for cleaning soft toys like these, though they're usually referring to more basic stuffed animals so the results may vary.

As for the seller, I honestly don't remember, but it was definitely an overseas purchase. I still remember he was particularly cool though because he initially shipped it incorrectly and it got returned to him, so he sent it back out at high speed shipping and I ended up getting it in like a week or so when I was originally expecting closer to a month.

After taking this picture I began to notice other dirtiness on the poor girl, I may have to go so far as an actual bath to get it all cleaned up.
