It's not that i hate the concept of being in love with an imaginary character, i heard of weirder stuff and am into even worse, but it's the way ret/a/rds carry themselves that pissess me off, it's their high and mighty attitude, as if having an imaginary character you feel longing for somehow puts you over the uneducated massess, they can't even take a joke on the subject without going all "I LOVE HER WHATCHU GONNA' DO ABOUT IT, HUH? U JUST CANT UNDERSTAND OUR LOVE!!1!", it's a mixture of the "anonymoose r legion"-attitude/mentality and outright idiocy (but mostly, it's only the first with generous sprinkles of the latter).
And it's outright disgusting, what was weird has become the new normal, everyone has a whyfoo and you see blog posts about how they just hit on a "cute 3dpd" and can't find anyone who shares their hobbies that isn't ugly :( almost regurarly.
If in what remains of my life i suddenly fall in love with a cartoon character, i'm never going to call it a "waifu", even under a death threat.
