Ever since colle started to encroach 2hu in the doujin realm, the news of the anime version turning out to be just another shitty cash-in is probably the best news I've heard yet.

The character designs are bland, I guarantee you the plot will be rushed, story won't be interesting, and character personalities will clash with fan interpretations(just like a 2hu anime would)

It'll follow the exact same trend that many other manga/game/LN/VN franchises whenever they get an anime adaptation. Kancolle will draw in more interest in the short term while the anime airs, but once the 13th episode is done, the anime fans will move onto something else, then that'll be interpreted by the fandom as a dwindling of colle's popularity, then THEY'LL start to jump ship.

You must be blind not to see how much Kancolle's popularity has dropped. Compare the number of art it was getting at the peak to today. There is barely any new porn these days.

Because it's a manufactured, synthetic, unauthentic fake hype created by greedy corporate fucks that want to play the fandom like a damn fiddle for profit. Notice how only the shittiest groups like IOSYS actually "switched" to colle - They only care about making profit from the new flavor of the month.

Its popularity will start to take an irreversible nosedive that not even a second season can undo. Worse than Haruhi, Higurashi, Umineko, F/SN, Tsukihime, Lucky Star, Strike Witches, and countless others. Historically speaking, whenever a manga/game/light novel series turns out to be popular, that popularity always reaches a peak whenever an anime version starts, and then it declines once it's done airing. Any of the examples I listed, they all started massively popular as a manga, light novel, or game and attracted a good deal of artists, but then once the anime series is done airing, people move away from it for whatever reason. What's stopping Kancolle from reaching the same fate?
