Satoko is a much better villain than Takano. Takano was a pathetic coward who couldn't do anything on her own and was too much of a pussy to pull the trigger in the end.
Satoko is willing to do anything to accomplish her goals, even if it means she has to kill herself for thousands of years. Her tenacity makes her genuinely terrifying. Takano was underwhelming in comparison.

People here gave me so much shit when I said that Lambda is supposed to represent Satoko, not Takano. Takano was her piece for the original Higurashi gameboard, but Lambda's relationship with Bern, her behavior and especially her ojou-sama laugh always made it obvious that she was Satoko's expy. It feels good to finally be validated.
