By Screen Hero x Boldogsag (Layman). Another 3yo horse who skipped the spring classic races and pointed towards the autumn ones. Lost by nose to 2nd to Ask Victor More in Kikukasho 3000m but made a pretty big run with amazing closing speed. Had the best times in training so far. Has enough stamina to run 2500m but as with Equinox, closing on Nakayama might prove hard with a strong front pacemaker.
tl;dr Amazing closing speed, has enough stamina to make it and win if timed right.

>Justin Palace
By Deep Impact x Palace Rumor (Royal Anthem). Another 3yo horse who's notable win was the Kikukasho trial race G2 Kobe Shimbun Hai 2200m. Finished third in Kikukasho but lengths behind Boldog Hos. Looks good in training, usually hangs out in front. Might get bombed by Titleholder's pace.
tl;dr G2 winner, lost to Boldog Hos in lenghts from last race. If were to run upfront, might get too tired.

>Deep Bond
By Kizuna x Zephyranthes (King Halo). Decent horse and G1 grinder but has never won any G1. Placed 2nd in last year's Arima Kinen, last win was the G2 Hanshin Daishouten 3000m earlier this year. Lost to Titleholder twice both in Haruten and Takarazuka Kinen. Placed 18th in Prix Arc de Triomphe. Usually placed upfront and the only horse in this race who's quite experienced at handling Titleholder's pace. While they put Kawada on him this time which is a better jockey than his former one, it was Wada who had it better than him with Deep Bond. Drew the worst gate at 16th.
tl;dr - Unlucky horse, might be the only one who can handle Titleholder's pace. Not with his usual jockey this time.

By Novellist x Little Jun (Kurofune). Won G2 Republica Argentina 2500m on Tokyo last November. Will be his first time running in a G1 race today. Form looks good but is pretty much an unknown.

>Boccherini
By King Kamehameha x Popcorn Jazz (Dance in the Dark). Real grinder, only placed outside of the goalboard twice in 22 races. His last win was the G2 Meguro Kinen 2500m on Tokyo last May. First G1 race was Japan Cup last November but mysteriously placed 17th. Form coming from Japan Cup is not that great.

>Izu Jo no Kiseki
By Epiphaneia x King Dancer (King Kamehameha). 5yo filly who's only notable win was beating Sodashi in G2 Fuchu Himba Stakes 1800m. Last ran at QEII 2200m, finished 10th lengths behind Geraldina. Might not have enough stamina for 2500m

>Aristoteles
By Epiphaneia x Blue Diamond (Deep Impact). Washed up horse who's last win was the G2 AJCC 2200m back in Jan 2021. Don't expect him to place at all

>Win Mighty
By Gold Ship x Aoba Colline (Cacoethes). 5yo filly who won this year's G3 Mermaid Stakes 2000m. Nothing else notable aside from looking great in training. Was expected to show up last race at QEII 2200m but finished 17th.
