Speaking of which, I still don't understand why Takeuchi gave Roa this ugly mullet in the remake. Should've just given him SHIKI's haircut if they had to change it

The more I think about Roa's hair changing, the less it makes sense. Apparently the justification is that the long hair is SHIKI's influence or something. So why would Roa completely taking over revert his hair to pic related? Shouldn't it be more like his OG body's (blond priest) style? And wasn't SHIKI's hair more of a bob in the first place?
Please explain and put my autism to rest.
