The Nasu VNs have a certain charm that D.I doesn't, but I think that's mostly because of the girls. Dies Irae has interesting female characters but they're all fairly weak when it comes to waifu potential. I only cared about one heroine - and while that's true for Fate as well, the side girls (especially Rider) were interesting too, and the series has great SoL potential. D.I on the other hand only shines when it's about the LDO

Personally Saber is my favourite out of the three, but I can understand why some wouldn't care for her. Sometimes I wish Saber's route came last. The first route would be Shirou having the stupid fucked out of him by Sakura, the second would be his confrontation with Archer in UBW, and the last route would be him sticking by his ideals with Seibah and getting a last-episode type happy end after much suffering. It would be a completely different story but It'd be great if Saber had a route that isn't weighed down by all the introductory stuff.
