>Trip
Trip translates only shit that's why. Hatsukoi 1/1 was such a borefest that I don't want to read another Tone Work's title ever again.
At least he's putting more effort into his translation than other localization companies.

in regards to their work? They do a great job but they both have shit taste in regards to the titles they choose to translate. Regardless they put a lot of work into their releases and outside a handful of typos there hasn't been any issues in either of their releases.

They can't even translate the game properly while fan translator can do it. If it's not hate then what? And they ask money for it

There were no fatal flaws but they still failed to translate the most basic of images.

Unless the art is Osadai tier it's almost always better than a bunch of pixels. Large mosaics are distracting and often ruin the CG, smaller less intrusive ones usually mean the art isn't that bad anyways.

I expect better considering how low the professional bar is.

wagahigh was a perfect example of a solid translation with little to no effort anywhere else. They used the original outdated version instead of the updated release which supported more system options and the nude sprite patch, they didn't bother translating any of the images, they didn't bother with the fandisc either.

It's basically just a fan translation that only had text translation + QC. I'm really surprised that they didn't bother editing ANY of the images since none of them should be particularly difficult or time consuming to do. When you have a 2 man fan-translation team putting more effort into their fan releases than an actual company with access to developer tools and assets, you know something is really fucked up.

Pretty sure it bombed because SP released it. They didn't put a lot of effort into the translation, kept mosaics, (although in this very specific case the mosaics look good.) overpaid on the license AND never confirmed they were bringing over the fandisc. they also translated the oudated version and not the newer version which had more features available.

It had good girls and comfy routes. Had a different publisher worked on it and released it, I think it'd have sold decently well.
