to me, love just means that i find something beautiful, so it's not out of the question. and i think that if we had to compare loving an idea (anime character) to an object (say, a chair, or something) it'd be much easier to love an idea. loving a real human is kind of like a balancing act between the two, depending on how intelligent the person is and how much `mystery' they have. i wouldn't use the term `waifu' but i find quite a few fictional characters nice, even if it's a bit lonely.
