The problem is that the new girls are self conscious and self making of their idol hood. they are aware when they are trying to act and be a idol.

The original girls were not. they were dorky. they were weird. they were rough and they were FUNNY. Yuko was mean, Kaori was always spacing out, Mari was crazy, Hitomi was pure comedy, Kago and Tsuji were retarded, Kei was kei, etc. Rika was one of the only ones who tried to act cute, and it always backfired on her but it was ok because the others always messed with her. If you watch old Utaban shows with Morning Musume on it, they were all great.

You guys seriously think that any of the current members can hold a candle to Mar, Hitomi, Yuko or Maki? Even fucking Tsuji has more star power then any of the new girls.

Can anyone explain why DVDs and such from Japan don't leak early? I mean most American and western stuff leak about 1-3 weeks before release yet this Hawaii DVD probably won't show up until a few days after release, I'm pissed.

So the other day I bumped into this japanese tv show called Utaban. I already had my share of weabooness, but I wanted to take it to the next level, so I watched through the whole thing and found it quite funny.
Now looking for more subbed episodes of this shit or anything that resembles it.
