I remember when I went to Japan for a school trip and we walked past a convention center with a massive line outside. I had no idea of the Idol world or had any interest of Japan besides Dragon ball and I kinda wished I did. I went through some of the photos of that trip and I was mindfucked at one photo. Turns out that convention was a handshake event for Morning Musume I think (I assume this because it a banner with every member and one photo had wotas with shitloads of merch). I was mindfucked because I now realize I was in walking distance with my future Oshi and I didn't even know.
