ZUN keeps changing how she acts. Forbidden Scrollery Reimu is unrecognizable from wild and horny hermit Reimu. So people have started thinking that maybe each manga is actually from the perspective of the title character, in the former Reimu is more serious and imposing whereas in the latter she's a laidback, loud, energetic girl that is Okuu-levels of forgetful.

It's not that she's going to become one on her own, that's why I said Mamizou is leading her to become one. She already lamented how they lost a key member of the youkai side, the posessed old man who was of a high status in the human village, meaning she's scheming things. Marisa says that tanuki's mischief is known for having killed people before, so right away neither her nor Reimu buys Mamizou's shit and know she's up to something.
