1 - buy a pandora battery online. check around. (you could make one, but not worth it)
2 - get a 1gb pro duo chip (this is what you'll use to install with)
3 - what you need to find:
-CFW m33-6 (overall, most stable, works with most homebrews)
-Rain's MMS maker (great program that takes the hassle out of making a magic memory stick)
-keep a copy of CFW 5.50 Prometheus around also (works for newer cso/iso files) (you can re-install back and forth inbetween m33-6 and this easily if needed.)

as for the vn's you'll either have to track down the emulator, or if its a newer one, use the iso/cso file. (I've yet to look around for any myself, as I've mostly enjoyed vn's on my pc)

google around. learn all you can. but there's your basics to help you get started, and there's lots of forums out there for those just starting out.

note: anything about Touhou on psp is just rumour. its never been actually ported yet.
