I don't think there are many spots where it's glaringly awkward (although it has been a while since I checked over it), but yes, basically it's an OK translation with a few grammar errors here and there.
If you really want to check the script before dropping some money on it you could either wait for the inevitable(?) torrent/DDL or check the scripts yourself on their website here: http://spicy-tails.net/transbbs/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21
They have each of the game's scripts uploaded individually as excel files with the Japanese, English, and crowd-sourced Chinese TL in them.
