Could Gensokyo be accessed from any point on Earth, or would one need to travel to the location of the Hakurei Shrine in this world and find a method of access from there?

I've always hypothesized the latter, but finding the location would be difficult considering the shrines already remote location and the fact that it is now at least 130 years old and the physical location may or may not exist anymore or even be distinguishable from nature.
