Indeed, for most monster girls monogamy is the rule. However there are some races where they pretty much always form harems with a single husband.

And of course while most monsters will respect the scent/energy that shows a man has been claimed, if a monster girl falls in love with a married man (this can happen without having sex with him, but doesn't appear to be common) then she won't let his status stop her from taking him by force. Monster girls understand this attachment where a monster girl comes to see a man as her "husband" can't be broken, so they will share him or compete for him as fellow wives.
