The real culprit was Gohda.

There was actually two Battlers, one of them was Asumu's son, the other one was Kyrie's son. The Battler who appeared at the conference until Asumu died was her son but the one we treat as the main character is actually Kyrie's son who faked his stillbirth and killed Battler (Asumu's son) and usurped his place (the reason he didn't come to the conference for 6 years is because he looked different so he had to make sure that people forget how he looks).

Battler (son of Asumu) survives however and infiltrates the mansion as Gohda with the intent of waiting until Battler (Kyrie son) comes back so that he can kill him. The reason he treats Kanon and Shannon like shit is because he still loves Shannon and he assumes that she's having sex with Kanon because she's always being secretive about him. The fact that Gohda hates both of them is proof that he's seen them together (presumably having sex and thus proving that they are NOT the same person).

Gohda Battler solves the riddle and uses the money to bribe the servants and Nanjo and have them help him but he plans to get rid of Kanon and Shannon in the end. In the first game he fakes his death then kills Kanon, in the second one he kills Kanon and Jessica and locks the door with his master key and in the third one he fakes his death and kills nanjo.

The reason Beato exists is because Gohda Battler has an imaginary waifu but she's too stupid to realize that he's the real Battler and falls for Kyrie Battler instead which drives Gohda Battler insane and makes him kill everyone.
