It makes the most sense to ship him with Alice given Aoko's future of being alone and wandering the world. I'd just like a peaceful life for Alice and Souji over a breakup between Aoko and Souji if it ever happened. I think Souji thinks of her most as an idol to worship from afar rather than someone he wants to be romantic with. I also like Aoko's character not needing romance for her character at least in her later years. She looks cool and wise without it. I do think they love each other in a way that's different from regular romance as true friends.
