To be honest the kanji quiz worked really well for gatekeeping in the djt discord server, if only qm wasn't so fucking retarded it could genuinely be the best place to talk about vns, it had a lot of people with hundreds of vns completed, there were monthly vn reading votings and even japs were joining the discussions

We have now a ton of 20 somethings who are self proclaimed gatekeepers, but they do it in a very cringy way without self confidence or reflection.
