So I'm 1 year and 4 months into learning Japanese. I started out with the Genki textbook and for 2 months I barely made any progress. Then I stumbled upon Tatsumoto.
https://tatsumoto.neocities.org/
I recommend you read the guide, read the FAQ and then reread the guide. Lots of people went with this approach and they are making good progress.

1.Reading redo of healer.
It's more based than I remember, the villains are deranged homosexuals and/or niggers.
2.Finally reached 500 cards in my mining deck. Learning kanji for a lot of words that I knew by ear for a long time already. This mismatch, not present while learning any language with a European alphabet (or like...Korean) is frustrating sometimes. Adds quite a bit of extra work.
Not really complaining, this ridiculous and beautiful writing system is a big part of the reason why I'm learning Japanese in the first place.
3.wotd:
禁断症状
目の色を変える
Sotd:
踏まれて大きくするなんて、本物の変態ですね

I admit I find this whole conversation about AI unsettling as it shakes the optimistic disposition I'm doing my best to maintain.
Development of full fledged AIs would cast a shadow and raise unpleasant questions about our place in the universe, only adding to what other advances in sciences had already done.
I, for one, am not content to be an equivalent of a meat machine. We must be fundamentally distinct, and above mere matter, be ensouled if there's any meaning to anything at all.
Yet I only have spiritual hopes, not beliefs, so I already resigned myself to the prospect of living out my life with deep existential anxiety always at least slightly present, like an annoying chronical disease.
For all the wonders that nerds promise AI can deliver (assuming it doesn't destroy our civilization) I would rather not have it, so that malady could trouble me less.

>some random grammar blog
nice try shill

and here's a non meme answer: all the "complete reference" websites (like the dogjall pages you linked or, god forbid, im*bi) are motivation kills. they should NEVER be used for learning, only to look up stuff you encounter in the wild. if you need to learn grammar you need a structured approach.

and the other website is even worse since it's basically random trivia about anime. fun to read but useless for learning japanese
