JustinTV did. I watched this Marine dude who ran a 24/7 The Office stream. Every couple months he'd get shut down and just make a new channel. Twitch eventually bought out JustinTV.

There were other streaming services, but I forget their names or when certain ones first appeared. In 2011 I started watching competitive TF2 (on the caster's own website, don't know what service he used) and SC2 (on GOMtv or whatever). I'm pretty sure Ustream existed back then, but people only ever used it to ironically watch bird's nests and shit like that. At the end of the year, I found a website called Teevox or something which compiled all streaming websites into one and the most viewed stream was a LoL streamer. I didn't know what LoL was, so I looked it up, found out Valve was making Dota 2, and found a website that compiled Dota 2 streams: some used Twitch and some used Own3d. That following year, 2012, is when it felt like Twitch gained a monopoly on streaming (in the West, nips still used ustream). I remember seeing someone streaming Mega Man X so I checked it out for the lulz and it was Caleb Hart, he got the speedrunning world record right then and there and jumped up and started doing roundhouse kicks to celebrate, and then his dad came in to talk to him about getting a job. Now he lives in a giant house by himself. It's crazy to think about how times have changed.
