i think last year a law was put into effect where mainlanders had to submit official government ID and have your face be publicly available in order to monetize content on social media platforms(that's also why a pornstar is in this image), I presume this is to prevent scammers like how chinese law is what led to gachas having to list %s on gacha rolls so companies couldn't get away with scamming through near impossible odds. The marriage/boyfriend shit wouldn't be a problem if the old holos retired after a few years and they kept adding new girls to replace them, like real idol groups do. The problem with hololive is that they're all getting old so inevitably they have partners by now, but it sucks for the audience because it basically devolves into "the girl you supported for like 4 years is gonna get married, and not to you, and basically that's your reward for supporting her :) " and yeah that doesn't feel good at all. But because they're not forced to quit, they stay and keep selling the fake gfe to people for the money. Hololive is designed in such a way that the audience will always end up cucked no matter what because they can all stay forever and they're allowed to hide anything and everything.

At least if they replaced them, you can start all over with a new girl that's focusing on work instead of continually supporting a woman that already has a man in her life and goes on with working to fund her future family with lonely men money. When she's had enough she'll fuck off and live off the lonely man money while no longer having to deal with said lonely men, but keeps all the benefits. Vtubing was a fucking mistake, honestly.
