I'm new to Touhou, and just started playing Perfect Cherry Blossom today.

I have a few beginner's questions that some of you might be able to help me with?

Please bare with me, some of these questions might absolutely suck.

What do each of the blocks signify that I collect when I kill enemies, when I'm hit and respawned, etc.(ie. red "P" blocks, blue ones that look like they have space invaders on them, pink ones, grey ones that all of the bullets turn into when you use a bomb or at seemingly random moments, etc.)? I already know what the yellow "F" ones are.

Do I lose points or anything for excessive firing?

How do I regain lives and bombs?

Any general tricks/tips for a beginner?
