There's a small amount of "backend". In a sense, SAM is the backend itself, with only little logic running in PHP, apart from things like the tagger (that relies on a PHP library) and the report system. Even the song skipping works through SAM.

Too true. Sadly, there's no equivalent Free or open source solution like SAM.

Because SAM. SAM handles requests, limits and playlist management. The scripts are PAL scripts that call PAL objects in order to do stuff, but PAL itself is quite limited, as you're not allowed to pass messages between scripts.

Example http://ompldr.org/vaDNuOA/requestlimit.pal

Maybe not. But the setup is already hacky as fuck. I'd rather not make it even more hacky.

The limit changed before you clicked "Request". The request limit script (that changes the limits enforced) updates every 2 minutes while at the same time a separate script runs every 1 minute to update the values displayed on the main page. You tried to request between the time the limit changed and the display script updated the page (at most 1 minute of delay).

I love you too anon.

For all intents and purposes, yes. And, as I've already stated before, doing some sanity checking on the tags post-upload is desirable so the current workflow enables that.

Please no.

Put up or shut up. Request your own, subjectively non-boring, songs. Nevermind the fact that I like Mikan anon's requests.

>> No.10330854 [View]

Now that I think of it, It'd be unlikely I'd be the one requesting serially with that icon. I've been told my tastes are shit (though it's them that are shit themselves, heh) and I would probably flood the stream with Type-Moon and EoSD related requests.

At least in the normal sense. I just have this trip for using it in these threads.

I'm not a tripcode user.

Nothing stopping me from using random icons when requesting, right?

Assuming the tags where ID3V2.4, try replacing the tildes with the non-doublebyte ones. I found an invalid (extensionless) track without metadata, it was probably that.
